This past semester has given me many new perspectives on the preparation needed for success in teaching first year composition courses. In this section of my website, you will find four separate sections: a course design proposal, a syllabus analysis project, a mini course activity, and a scaffolded assignment example. Please note that these are still very much works in progress, as I still have much to learn in the next year. It is my hope, however, that readers will see what MORE I am learning as a teaching assistant. Just like I expect my students to constantly learn and evolve in their writing, I, too, expect myself to finely tune my teaching philosophy, skills, and course design through lessons learned in the future.
